The Festival has commissioned a film from IOU based on their show Rear View, which is touring nationwide. A life-model looks back on her life from the perspective of her younger self. She tells the story of her life to come through reflections, predictions and observations set against the familiar streets and buildings of Todmorden. The narrative poetry is written and performed by local writer Jemima Foxtrot with a specially commissioned sound score by Monty Adkins and Susie Green. ‘Todmorden’ will premiere at the Festival launch featuring live performance and artist talks with Jemima Foxtrot and IOU’s David Wheeler. Following the launch, the film will be screened at the Library throughout the Festival.
