Writer and broadcaster Ian McMillan is a familiar voice on national radio and a regular on BBC television. His work includes poetry, plays, his autobiography Talking Myself Home: My Life in Verses and a voyage around Yorkshire in Neither Nowt Nor Summat. His latest collection of poetry To Fold The Evening Star: New and Selected Poems was published in 2016.
Andrew McMillan’s debut, physical, was the first poetry collection to win the Guardian First Book Award. It also won a Somerset Maugham Award, an Eric Gregory Award, a Northern Writers’ Award and the Fenton Aldeburgh First Collection Prize. His second collection playtime was published by Jonathan Cape on 2 August 2018 and is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation for Autumn 2018. He is a senior lecturer in the Manchester Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University.
